Competition at all levels...
In addition to our weekly club nights, there are number of competitions held throughout the season across inter-club, regional and state levels. Registered athletes can nominate for as many as they wish and there is usually only a very small charge to enter for a whole day of competition.
Jimboomba Annual Carnival
Come and join us for the Jimboomba Annual Carnival held each year on our grounds at Henderson Road, Jimboomba. In our (only slightly biased opinion) it’s one of the best inter-club meets on the calendar! A super fun day, with a high standard of competition and we even have a unique cross country event for our distance runners!
Relay Team Events
Definitely a favourite on the events calendar (for both athletes and spectators!), Regional Relays give athletes the opportunity to compete at a friendly regional competition as part of a team for their club across both track and field events.
U9 Age Groups and above also get the opportunity to qualify through to the State Relay Championships!
LAQ Carnivals and Championships
LAQ conducts a number of Carnivals and Championships each year.
They aim to provide athletes the opportunity to take part in a large-scale regional and state level competitions.

Queensland Athletics
Additional competitions for athletes aged 12 and up are available through Queensland Athletics and Athletics Australia. QA and AA competitions provide excellent experience and opportunities for athletes wanting to pursue their own athletics goals alongside some of Australia’s most talented sports men and women.
